1.  The Brazos River flows near the edge of our property.  The water level fluctuates dramatically.  Always check current river conditions and take necessary precautions.  Be aware of river dangers.  Do not go near the water if it is rising or flooding.  River conditions or concerns may be addressed to the Brazos River Authority. Never allow children to go near the river without adult supervision.

 

2. Remember, this is a family campground.  If your plans are to drink alcohol, and/or party, then Camp ‘N’ Fish is not the campground for you!  No refunds given if you are asked to leave.  Quiet time at dark.

 

3.  Protect the trees.  Don’t cut on, chop, or nail objects into the trees.  If you are caught chopping on trees we will file criminal charges.  Please report anyone damaging the trees.

In case of bad weather – high wind, storms – move out of the campground – do not stay near or under any trees.

 

4.  This is a country campground.  Be aware of and protect yourself from critters found near any river (snakes, mosquitoes, ants, flying insects) as well as plants such as poison ivy and poison oak, plus watch for holes dug by moles, armadillos, etc. Always carry a flashlight after dark.

 

5.  Rest rooms, with flush toilets and showers, are checked and cleaned periodically (not continuously).  Do your part to keep them clean – do not leave a mess for the next camper.  Children must be supervised.

 

6.  A trash trailer is provided for your trash.  Please don’t leave trash on the beach or in your campsite for the next camper.

 

7. Music – radios, etc. are allowed only if the sound cannot be heard outside your campsite. No car stereos.  After 10 PM, all radios, stereos, tvs, electronic devices must be turned off or used with headsets! Refusal to follow rule will result in you being asked to leave…without refund!

 

8.  No firearms, bb guns, pellet guns, or fireworks are allowed.

 

9.  Pets must be kept on a leash.  Please, no barking dogs.

 

10.  It is state law that vehicles are not allowed on the sand/gravel bar by the river.  The game warden patrols the river via airboat.

 

11.  If you need an electrical hookup, camp in the electric sites.  Electrical cords and water hoses may not run across the roads to non-electrical sites. No generators. Use of household-type lights only. No shop or Halogen lights.

 

12.  The office is located on the north end of the two-story building, which is the manager’s home.  Office hours are limited and irregular.  Use night deposit to register and pay. Never set up camp prior to registering.

 

13.  No recreational riding of motorcycles. Dirt bikes, go-carts, off-street vehicles not allowed in campground. It is illegal to drive motorized vehicles onto the sandbar and/or riverbed; if you drive onto the sandbar, the game warden and/or sheriff's department will be notified.

 

14. No swimming pools, no washing of RVs or vehicles.

 

15. Tent with A/C – extra charge of $20/night/air conditioner.

16. Any other rule not currently known to be needed will be added at owner’s discretion to allow for safety and enjoyment of facilities by other guests and for protection of property.

 

17. Gate closes at 9:00 p.m.

 

Camp ‘N’ Fish is private property. These rules allow for a safe and enjoyable camping experience for ALL GUESTS. If you are asked to leave as a result of rule violations, there will be no refunds.
